Tomb Raider Slots
Tomb Raider and its central character, Lady Lara Croft, have proven themselves to be hugely appealing to video game and slot machine players alike over the years. Lara is indeed, a role model of sorts. It shouldn’t be too much of a surprise that with such attention focused on her and the franchise, that other gambling companies have attempted to cash in on the theme of explorer and adventurer, or in short, a tomb raider in search of treasures. There have been several attempts to make imitation Tomb Raider games. Some have been successful, and others haven’t. Here are three of the best and worst. If you love the Tomb Raider slot machine games, you may or may not wish to try these games, too. We rate Tomb Raider Slots 7.5 out of 10 in our review in 2018.
Book of Ra is a slot which has been developed by Novomatic. It is non-progressive in nature, and may not be a direct imitation Lara Croft game, but it certainly has been inspired by it, and other Lara Croft/Indiana Jones style games. However, Book of Ra offers no real competition to the Tomb Raider slots. It features 9 lines, and is moderately cheap to play, but it has no really good special features. Indeed, this slot even uses one symbol for all its special features, as the wild not only acts as the jackpot icon, but also the scatter symbol. Special features are at a premium in this Ancient Egyptian themed adventure slot, and a recently released deluxe edition didn’t help either. We’d recommend giving it a miss. We’d always prefer to play Tomb Raider.
Lost, on the other hand, is most definitely worth a look. Although it certainly has elements of Tomb Raider in it, there is something very Indiana Jones about this slot, too. It offers a much more improved take on the Ancient Egyptian treasure theme that Book of Ra also carries. One area where nobody could slander Lost is in its graphics. These graphics in this game are absolutely top notch. True, Lost can be a little pricey to play, but it is comedic and not as serious as Tomb Raider. You’d never say that Lost is a direct rip-off of Tomb Raider, but it’s along the same vein, so fans of the Tomb Raider slots may get their kick out of this title.
Cave Raiders on the other hand, is a direct rip-off of Tomb Raider and Indiana Jones. It actually contains two figures who aren’t actually that different from Lara and Indy, on both sides of the reels! This mobile slot has been developed by Nektan, and is only available for mobile casino users. It offers 5 reels and 25 lines of gameplay, with stakes ranging from 1p up to £50 a spin. A £250,000 jackpot is available, and that is going to impress. The truth of the matter is that for a mobile slot, Cave Raiders is a decent game; but can we really forgive them for being so downright obvious about the inspiration behind their game?
Hence, is Tomb Raider Slots safe to play at?For sure.
